Understanding the Research Process

As evidence of my understanding of the research process, I will briefly detail my research experience and include supporting documents.

The evidence provided is drawn from self-directed research projects on micromobility, research work experience and completed courses. The research projects mentioned include a feasibility report on the adoption of micromobility in Kamloops, an Undergraduate Research Experience Program project, and a project under the Gaglardi Decanal Research Award. These projects are continuations of each other with ever expanding scope, having started by exploring micromobility in Kamloops to now looking at its potential impact in the whole of Canada.

Within my research experience, I have worked with the Office of the Vice President of Research at TRU. The positions I have held include being a Research Hub Ambassador, a Student as Partners Research Fellow, an Undergraduate Research Ambassador, and an Undergraduate Research Assistant under Dr. Zubair Raja. In these positions I have acted as a peer mentor to students applying for research grants, collected and analyzed data to formulate operational plans, worked on an academic publication, and engaged in knowledge mobilization. As a supplement to my personal and work-related experience, I have taken a course on Marketing Research Methods under the instruction of Dr. Muhammed Shiban, as well as engaged in research projects in various upper-level classes.  Additionally, I have completed the TCPS 2 research ethics certification course.

The documents linked on this page are:
