Engaging in Knowledge Mobilization

My research activities have led me to engage in knowledge mobilization in various forms, both in an academic and professional setting. I have presented posters and held talks at conferences, planned and participated in knowledge sharing events, helped influence city planning through personal contacts gained through my research.

In 2024, I participated in a student knowledge sharing competition known as In a Nutshell at Thompson Rivers University (TRU) where I held a 3-minute poster presentation. In addition to the competition, I also went on to present posters at the Western Division of the Canadian Association of Geographers symposium & at the TRU Undergraduate Research & Innovation Conference.

The following year, 2025, I attended the same two conferences and held two 15-minute student presentations. As a Research Ambassador, I also participated in the planning and hosting of In a Nutshell 2025, as well as a presentation skill workshop for the student population of TRU. Lastly, having been in contact with the Kamloops city officials working on introducing shared micromobility to the city, I shared planning insights drawn from my research experience with the City of Kamloops.
